What is Guest Blogging, Anyways?

- You better know your stuff: If you email a webmaster for the opportunity to write for their blog, you better have a good idea of what you’re going to be talking about. If you don’t, do some research beforehand.
- Make sure you’re relevant: If you’re trying to pitch an idea to a webmaster, make sure it fits well with their blog. I know this one should be common sense, but it isn’t, so you can thank the spammers out there.
- Don’t be overly promotional: Nobody wants to publish content that is just giving your sales pitch or highlighting your product. Give their readers something they’ll be happy to read!
- Limit your hyperlinks: Links are a normal part of a webpage and a normal part of the internet, so they are to be expected. However, don’t link to sites that don’t support the article and if you are trying to obtain links for yourself, use the “About the Author” section at the bottom. Or, ask the webmaster their policy on links.

I found the article interesting and helpful and will certainly look into this in a deeper way. I must say it’s part of SEO that I have neglected. Thank you again for making guest blogging the way to go.
